About AnimalCol

AnimalCol is a user-friendly program whose aim is to facilitate coloration-related image analysis. It has been designed by and for biologists to facilitate the handling of numerous pictures at the same time while ensuring robustness and repeatability.

Color-based surface estimation in Regions of Interest (ROI)

Determine the surface area within a region of interest (ROI) that corresponds to a specified range of color values. In this example, the fish are ordered from the one with the least red coverage to the one with the greatest colored surface, arranged from left to right and top to bottom.
Visual feedack on color values

AnimalCol makes it easy to select color ranges of interest by providing direct visual feedback. As you adjust the color parameters, you can immediately see which areas of the image are selected, allowing for precise and intuitive control.
Automatic ROI detection

AnimalCol also offers automatic ROI detection through background removal, instantly isolating the areas of interest. This feature speeds up the workflow, allowing you to analyze images more efficiently and focus on the data that matters.
